In this blog, we’ll delve into all the exciting updates and features that make the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban perfect choices for drivers seeking greater confidence and security behind the wheel.

Industry-Leading Innovations

“The updates on the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban make the industry’s best-selling full-size SUVs an ever-stronger option for our customers,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “Our segment-leading position is the envy of our competitors — no one comes close to Chevrolet.”
With over 45 years of dominance in the segment, the Tahoe and Suburban have established themselves as cultural icons. The 2025 models continue this legacy with several standout features:

Bolder Exterior Design: The new Tahoe and Suburban feature a fresh front-end design with bolder lighting and new lighting animations. Select trims also offer unique design cues, such as skid plates and a high-approach front fascia on the Z71 trim and a sophisticated balance of black and Galvano chrome trim on the High Country trim.

Revamped Interior: The interior boasts a best-in-segment 17.7-inch diagonal central touchscreen, along with an enhanced High Country trim interior and additional refinements across the lineup.
Powerful Diesel Engine: A new, second-generation 3.0L turbo-diesel Duramax engine offers 10 percent more horsepower than previous models and will be available later in production.

Enhanced Safety and Technology: New features include Connected Cameras, a fully integrated network of cameras that allow customers to remotely view the interior and exterior of their vehicle. Some features may require an OnStar plan.

Design Highlights

The 2025 Tahoe and Suburban present a new look with more curb appeal. This includes:

Front and Rear Lighting: New lighting technology elevates the sophisticated design, with prominent daytime running lights and animated swipe turn signals.

New Exterior Colors: Two new colors, Cypress Gray and Lakeshore Blue Metallic, enhance the vehicle’s appeal.

Wheel Designs : For the first time, 24-inch wheels are available on RST and High Country trims.

Interior Refinements

The new Tahoe and Suburban interiors are designed to feel more spacious and tech-focused, featuring:

17.7-Inch Infotainment Screen: Positioned for easy access by the driver and front-seat passenger.

Redesigned Center Console: Offers new storage options and a more convenient wireless charging pad.

Sophisticated Décor: Includes more soft-touch and wrapped materials on select trims.

Powerful and Efficient Performance

The second-generation 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel Duramax engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, providing 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of peak torque. This engine is available on all retail trims, including Z71 for the first time.

Ride and Handling Enhancements

Updated multilink independent rear suspension and additional steering calibration improvements enhance ride and handling dynamics. Available features include Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control, offering a confident driving experience across various conditions.

Advanced Towing Capabilities

Towing technology upgrades provide greater confidence behind the wheel, with features like Trailer Tire Health and Boat Ramp Assist. The Max Trailering package includes advanced tools such as Hitch View and Hill Descent Control.

Cutting-Edge Safety Features

The 2025 models introduce new safety technologies like Interior Motion Detection, which can detect certain types of micro-movements in the cabin. Other standard safety features include Chevy Safety Assist, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, and Teen Driver.
Production of the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban will take place at GM’s Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, which is receiving a $500 million investment to strengthen its industry-leading full-size SUV business.
