Many of us look forward to the long Memorial Day weekend every year, we think it's important to remember the history and why we celebrate the holiday. Held on the last Monday of May, Memorial Day is a federal holiday for remembering and honoring those who have died serving in the United States Armed Forces. The history of Memorial Day dates back to before the Civil War, when soldiers' graves were decorated with flowers. Many of these celebrations were referred to as Decoration Days, which eventually evolved to become what we now know as Memorial Day. At Friendly Chevrolet, we salute and honor our active service members, veterans, and their families. Chevrolet has a strong history of supporting programs such as Operation Homefront and Wreaths Across America. We're proud to offer the Chevrolet Military Discount, plus a $500 cash allowance on most 2018 and 2019 Silverado, Traverse, Colorado and Camaro models.
